New York State Recognizes Easterseals New York Food Bank

The letter reads in part—“Your tireless efforts have helped feed countless New Yorkers in need as we face one of the biggest public health crises in our history, and I truly can’t thank you enough for stepping up in this time of great need. Day after day, you exemplify selflessness in the face of long, difficult hours and unprecedented challenges, providing an example of commitment and compassion at a time when it is truly needed most.”

Easterseals New York’s Community Outreach, a part of Project Discovery in Port Jervis, is the third largest food bank in Orange County. Under the direction of Outreach Coordinator Barbara Kuczyra, Community Outreach supplies at least 550 needy families with food, clothes, hygiene products and other necessities. Shipments of these goods were drastically curtailed during the pandemic, among numerous other challenges, but Community Outreach always came through.

The Fedcap Group, parent company of Easterseals New York, is honored that Governor Cuomo recognized the great work of the Community Outreach team in Port Jervis and the state’s other food banks. We could not be more proud.
